This page explains what information Easy Crochet Blanket (easycrochetblanket.com) collects when you visit the site, how it’s used, and the choices you have. The short version: I collect as little as possible, I never sell it, and you can always ask me to delete it.
What I collect
When you use the contact form. If you send me a message, the form collects your name, your email address and your message. They’re sent straight to my email inbox so I can read your note and reply. They are not stored in the website’s database.
To keep spam away, the form briefly uses your IP address to limit how many messages can be sent in a short time. It’s kept for about an hour, then deleted automatically.
When you simply browse. Like every website, the site runs on a hosting server (Hostinger). The server keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. I don’t use these logs to identify or track anyone.
What I don’t do
- No tracking cookies. The site doesn’t set cookies for visitors.
- No analytics or advertising tools. There are no statistics trackers and no ads on this site.
- No selling or sharing. I never sell, rent or share your personal information with anyone.
- No outside services loading in the background. The fonts and images are hosted on this site itself.
Links to other websites
Some pages may link to other websites, like Pinterest. When you follow a link, that website’s own privacy policy applies, and I have no control over what it collects.
How long I keep your messages
Emails you send me stay in my inbox only as long as they’re useful, for example to answer a follow-up question about a pattern. You can ask me to delete them at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can ask me at any time:
- what information I have about you (usually just your emails to me);
- to correct it;
- to delete it.
Just write to me at Email me and I’ll take care of it.
California residents: I don’t sell or share personal information, and I don’t use it for targeted advertising. Because the site doesn’t track visitors, it responds the same way whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.
Children’s privacy
This site is written for adults who love to crochet. It isn’t directed to children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, please contact me and I’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If the way the site works changes, for example if I add a newsletter, I’ll update this page and the date at the top before the change goes live.
